Accessible, attentive, informative, efficient and courteous at all times

We have recently used the services of Step Up Renovations (Step Up) in what was our first ever experience renovating.

The works involved were design and complete overhaul form floor to ceiling of a kitchen, family room, rumpus room, powder room and some long adjoining hallways. There were also matters of some internal structural changes and individualised structural and other decorative features, customise integrated furniture and AV equipment enclosures, direct imports of fixtures and fittings as well as liaising at all times with an Interior Designer and having to cater for numerous variations along the way as we kept changing our minds, choices etc.

All works were carried out by Step Up diligently, and furthermore, we have found all involved in/with Step Up in various capacities, to be very accessible, attentive, informative, efficient and courteous at all times through the works process as well as thereafter in their post-completion attitudes and attendances.

We had from the outset a vision envisaged in our monads of a desired resultant outcome. The final product delivered, with additional input and detail from Step Up, markedly surpassed our initial contemplations. We praise their performance.

It is our intention to carry out further renovations to other parts of our home, and in the process we will gladly continue to use the services of Step Up. Suffice to say, this in itself is our endorsement of our recommendation of Step Up to prospective other property owners intending to renovate and/or carry out other building works.

We had complete trust

We engaged Step-up-Renovations to undertake a major renovation of our 34 year old house in April 2009. The renovation consisted of an extension to include a double garage underneath a new master bedroom, ensuite, robes and utility room, and a large indoor/outdoor room with timber decks leading to the pool. In addition the works included rendering of the house, a new roof, new windows throughout, a new driveway and landscaping. The project was completed in early December, 2009.

We operated a cost plus contract and we were pleased with the manner Scott and his team of Craig & John applied themselves. They were always punctual and hardworking and we are confident we received value for the hours we were billed. They kept the site as tidy as was practicable and we had complete trust in them when we were away.

The cost plus contract also allowed us to see where all the costs were going and if we thought we could get better prices for materials or subcontractors, Scott was open to use our sources. Scott managed the purchase of materials and subcontractors in our best interests and his costs were invariably cheaper. Throughout the job we made a number of changes without the delay of determining cost variations to the contract.

We found Scott approachable and available at all times with a genuine willingness to please but frank enough to ensure the best outcome. We are more than pleased with the end result and very happy with the standard of workmanship throughout.

Outstanding craftsmanship and confidence

In September 2010 Step Up Renovations (NSW) PTY Ltd started a large renovation to my existing home in Wahroonga.

Our goal of our renovation was to increase the size of our 1930’s two bedroom home, to a 4 Bedroom + Study home without loosing the characteristics of the original home. This was no small task and we wanted to ensure we chose a builder that could not only complete the project on time but also ensure high quality of workmanship. Many renovations we saw from looking for a new home looked like an add-on and didn’t blend to the original building and we wanted to ensure that this renovation wasn’t like that.

We choose Step Up Renovations because of their ability to complete our goal and also complete the project in stages. One of my main requirements was for the project to be completed by late January 2011, due to my wife being pregnant sand due in February. This was achieved and we were able to move back into our home 1 month before the baby was due.

The team at Step Up Renovations lead by Scott Wallyn did an outstanding job, my site contact John (Site trades person) completed our works with outstanding craftsmanship and confidence. They organised all of the relevant trades to be on time which showed the level of organisation second to none.

Being in the sales industry myself i recognised early their ability to produce quality product and service.

We will be continuing our works at our home in the coming year and look forward to Step Up Renovations being involved.
